Our Story

In 2020, our co-founders Prashanth Prakash and Malini Goyal embarked on a project to create a contemporary biography of Bengaluru, India’s tech capital. Unboxing Bengaluru: The City of New Beginnings was published in 2022, and went beyond just documenting the city’s transformation since the 1980s. It brought out in sharp relief the city’s ability to build and nurture strong ideas – from sociocultural shifts to successful startups. The love and support from various stakeholders in the city evolved beyond the book into the organization we are today.

We’re the bridge between old and new, the traditional and the cutting-edge. We’re not just showing you the city; we’re inviting you to experience it, whether you’ve always called it home, or just got here and want to shape its future.

Since 2023, through a host of resources, motivated and active stakeholders, the access and support from decisionmakers, and a massive pool of talent we can depend on we’ve been rolling out multiple initiatives largely to:

Document the city’s journey
Help people experience and engage with the city better
Make Bengaluru more liveable
We’re here to build, develop, and amplify efforts to make Bengaluru the city we know it has the potential to be.
